The best affordable robot vacuum Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

During testing it was able to take on dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the push of one button. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do and can remove pet hair with ease. It's not able to work with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. Its mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than a vibrating pad.

What sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot mop and vacuum combo known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet tall and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can manage it even when away from home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a specific path.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any best robot vacuum cleaner we've tested because of its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different flooring types and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. But while these functions are nice to have however, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner need.

It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's enhanced by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This allows the robot vacuum that vacuums and mops to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hardwood floors and removing all but stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
